You can make a difference through the support of…
Canadian Alumni MBChB Bursaries: supporting future alumni and academic excellence. UCT has made an ambitious commitment to the principle that no talented student will ever be turned away because of financial need. The UCT Canadian Alumni Bursaries support students from the ‘missing middle’ who don’t qualify for state funding but still need assistance. Based on merit and financial need, alumni enable students to fulfill their potential and reach their dreams. The bursaries support MBChB and undergraduate or postgraduate studies. Memorial or Named bursaries are also an option for alumni support in a field of your choice.
UCT Canadian Alumni Undergraduate Bursaries: The UCT Canadian Alumni Bursaries will support undergraduate students from the ‘missing middle’ who fall just outside the threshold to receive state funding – and could be denied an education through lack of funds. The bursaries support study across all faculties, including Health Sciences. The Young Professionals Bursary, created by young professional alumni is building a global network of professional alumni.
SADC Student Hardship Fund: Lifting students from hardship to hope. UCT Students from the SADC region are impacted by life’s challenges much like their fellow African peers which impact their academic excellence and mental wellbeing. This new fund was created by UCT’s Canadian alumnae and friends with lived experiences of financial hardship while at UCT. The fund is meant to ease some of these students’ financial challenges to enable them to fully focus on their studies, realize their dreams, and unlock their bright futures.
Young Professionals Bursary: building a global network: Alumni and Friends are building a network of young professionals through the support of the Young Professionals Bursary in the fields of Commerce, Law, Computer Science, and Health Sciences. The network has stretched across the globe with mentors and supporters. Be part of building this network.
